GoodWe Achieves AA Rating in Wind ESG Assessment, Ranking Among Top 10 in Its Industry

GoodWe, a global leader in solar PV and energy storage solutions, has earned an AA rating in the latest ESG assessment by Wind, a leading and influential ESG rating agency in China. With a score of 8.63, this places the company among the top 10 out of 394 enterprises in the Electrical Equipment III category.

This achievement reflects GoodWe’s long-term commitment to environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and sound corporate governance, demonstrating its growing competitiveness and credibility in both domestic and international markets.
The Wind ESG Rating is widely recognized across China’s capital markets and financial institutions, serving as a critical reference point for investors and stakeholders seeking sustainable value. The rating framework is aligned with global ESG standards while taking into account China's regulatory and corporate context. It evaluates companies using over 500 performance indicators and 1,200 controversy event tags, offering a comprehensive assessment of ESG capabilities.
To ensure accountability and transparency, GoodWe has established a dedicated ESG Strategy and Management Committee at the board level. The company has released four consecutive ESG reports, and in 2024, its Sustainability Report underwent independent verification by TÜV Rheinland, further enhancing the credibility of its disclosures. Investments in research and development, data protection, and business ethics continue to reinforce the company’s long-term governance structure.
On the environmental front, GoodWe is among the first in its industry to complete Scope 1, 2, and 3 greenhouse gas inventories. In 2024, the company expanded carbon verification from its Suzhou and Guangde factories to include Yude Solar, one of its subsidiaries in China. By leveraging digital tools and establishing internal carbon task forces, GoodWe is building a scalable, efficient carbon data management system that supports its decarbonization strategy.
