GoodWe Unveils Smart Energy Ecosystem at 15th Anniversary

November 06, 2025

GoodWe Technologies Co., Ltd. celebrated its 15th anniversary, marking a significant milestone in its evolution from a dedicated inverter manufacturer to a global leader in the smart energy ecosystem. Mr. Daniel Huang, Founder and CEO of GoodWe, emphasized during the ceremony that the company’s “Generation-Grid-Load-Storage-Intelligence” strategy has become the core engine driving the development of the smart energy ecosystem, fully integrating the entire chain from power generation, grid, and load to energy storage and intelligent management.

As a vital extension of the Group’s “Generation-Grid-Load-Storage-Intelligence” strategy into the building sector, the Photovoltaic Building Materials (PVBM) division is spearheading the transformation of buildings from “energy consumers” into “energy generators” through Building Integrated Photovoltaics (BIPV), filling the gap in the Group’s energy production scenarios at the building level. As highlighted by Kang, Country Manager of GoodWe PVBM for Australia and New Zealand, in his 15th-anniversary speech, the division adheres to a philosophy of “architectural respect as the foundation, safety and aesthetics as the core, and high-efficiency power generation as the objective,” building a comprehensive BIPV product portfolio for diverse building scenarios: “Sunshine Tile” directly replaces traditional concrete roof tiles, integrating fire resistance, waterproofing, and power generation functions, addressing industry pain points such as complex installation and aesthetic conflicts with building design. “Vela Solar Carport” featuring a modular design and Polaris waterproof modules, can be flexibly equipped with EV chargers, energy storage systems, and LED lighting. It turns a parking space into a power plant. “Galaxy Lightweight Panels” utilizing a non-penetrating mounting method, are suitable for low-load-bearing roofs like old warehouses and commercial buildings. The plug-and-play balcony solar system, pre-configured with microinverters, optional battery storage, and SEMS+ connectivity, requires no professional installation or waiting, enabling people living in apartments to easily generate clean power.

A flagship achievement of the PVBM Division is the Square Hall Water Courtyard project – the world's largest solar tile roof project, covering over 40,000 square meters. Here, Sunshine Tile is more than just a product; it is an integral part of the architecture itself. It blends perfectly with the building's design while delivering over 430 MWh of clean energy annually, directly powering the site and its nearby facilities. Beyond its performance, it is engineered for safety, fire resistance, waterproofing, insulation, and wind load protection, serving as a powerful testament to the capabilities of GoodWe's integrated BIPV solutions.

Standing at this new starting point of its 15-year journey, the PVBM division will continue to leverage BIPV technology to further enrich the application scenarios of the “Generation-Grid-Load-Storage-Intelligence” strategy, injecting momentum into GoodWe’s vision of a sustainable smart energy future. Moving forward, GoodWe PVBM remains committed to advancing the green transformation in the building sector and providing forward-looking solutions for zero-carbon cities and lifestyles. Let’s continue to rise together, share the growth, and explore new possibilities. Let’s push the boundaries, create value, and collectively pioneer a new era of smart energy.
